KNIGHT OF CUPS

Lifeguard

Dashing sea hero swims gracefully in the waters he knows so well. He is the Knight of Cups, and water is his element. He symbolizes the flow and change in life that takes us to many strange and exciting places. We all move through the many moods of water on our voyages. The Knight of Cups helps keep us focused in both calm and turbulent seas. He brings purpose to the intuitional realm by uniting emotions with ideas.

The Knight of Cups masters emotions by purposeful action, not dominance. For the Knight. emotions come from the body and guide him as he moves through social waters. The Knight of Cups then expands our collective emotional knowledge by going boldly into the unknown, breaking the surface of the waters with the triton shell in his hand. A smaller likeness of himself' extends into the new realm and has a heart connection with the universe, proving that the unknown is something to respect, not fear. When he goes to the edge lm finds the diversity of experience encapsulated in the unity of spirit. The resulting ecstasy is reflected by the colorful swirls laying latent in the waters. Around him dolphins and fishes swim. They are his animal companions. Together they patrol the ocean's vastness, rescuing those who are brave enough to explore but get in over their head.
