Provider of Sustenance

From deep within the beautiful loamy skin of the earth, roots reach for anchorage and nourishment. Grounded life stretches and expands upward into the branches, communicating with the sky. As is the tree, so too is the Queen of Disks: practical, fruitful earth queen, a product of the earth in the earth. She materializes before us, embedded in the abundance of the forest. Her home is an open banquet to which all beings are invited.

At her banquet, everyone gets enough. No one is allowed to leave hungry or thirsty. Everyone deserves warmth, food, and shelter because everyone is a member of the Cosmic Tribe. Travelers, wanderers, and refugees can shed their shame like clothes, drop their heavy packs, and rest awhile beneath the nurturing Queen of Disks. With her as hostess and patroness, abundance overcomes scarcity and creativity flourishes.

Deeply grounded in her body, the Queen of Disks radiates happy gravity and glorious power. She wears an earthcrown of goat horns; leaves, and flowers. No worn-out laws can keep her from sharing herself, her place, and her planet. Ownership dissolves because everyone has what they need. She is the manifestation of divine materialism. She is the Queen of Disks; her body is a bountiful tree where all life goes to feed. The spirals around her symbolize the energy she works with. Out of her trunk the spirals draw the earth into her body. Out of her left hand the energy coils back to the earth, as it does when we prepare the soil for later harvest. Out of her right hand, the energy coils upward to the cosmos, as it does when we offer prayers of thanksgiving.
