Giving and Receiving

The universe is a free flow of energy cascading through infinite shapes over the field of time. We enter into this flow, this kaleidoscope of colors, as beings increasingly aware of our power. When we are together, giving and receiving, we harness the free flow and turn coal into diamonds. We participate in the wealth of the universe by keeping it moving through us. Hoarding the force is foolhardy since it is everywhere available in limitless quantities. Even the most miserly have to release a little just to stay alive. And why hoard when you can give, and by giving receive more than you gave away?

In the card a vine shoots up from the earth in a miraculous burst of life. Its flowers are precious jewels that gleam brilliantly and attract a happy traveler. The traveler values all earthstones regardless of their price. But she prefers to travel lightly. She gains more from a journey unburdened by treasures, knowing that life will present her with many opportunities to marvel at gems. And besides, she is already very wealthy. She can easily afford to throw these precious jewels from the vine into the sky for all to enjoy. The gemstones land on the rainbow formed by the arc of her arms in the motion of giving. The happy traveler has mastered the flow of the universe. She shows up at the party thrown by the Queen of Disks and gives everyone a gem. She works magic and turns everyone into a receiver, even herself. The whole world is richer for her passing.
