This connection allows him to thrive even amidst difficulty. The golden wand is also the golden mean riding high above the extremes of desire. Below him lie twin abysses. In one pit, desire consumes his spirituality in an inferno of addiction. In the other, repression kidnaps spirituality, snuffing the fires of passion. The Prince of Wands is driven beyond predictable experience into the challenging, even dangerous realms that feed him, inspire him, and broaden his connection to the divine presence. The Prince has fallen before, nearly losing his spirit to confusion and despair. And he is still learning how to manage the intensities of life. He must balance his passion for involvement with the risks of addiction, charlatanism, and dark desires. The Prince's balanced spiritual connection allows him to go to this edge and return to communicate the wisdom of his experience. His magic involves devoting all of his passions, even the unwanted ones, to the divine presence everywhere apparent. Accordingly, flames leap from the desire points of his body as he begins to know and feel the spirit working within him. The Prince walks the tightrope of life and offers his passion back to the universe that created him.
